Description

Silver Maples are a fast growing native tree to Michigan. They can grow 2 -3 feet per year! Their leaves are silvery on underside and have a gray/brown bark color. Adaptable to a wide variety of soils, but especially likes moist soils. Prefers full sun to partial shade. Responds well to heavy fertilization and watering. Make a great large shade tree at maturity with a height of 50-80’ and a 35-50’ spread. Their leaves turn yellow in fall. For a privacy screen, plant 3’ apart. Hardiness zones 3-9. Shipped bareroot with no soil.
